Seva Sadan Trust was founded by a visionary philanthropist Late Shri Parsram Parumal Dabrai in the year 1950 to provide educational facilities to Sindhi migrants from Pakistan at the time of partition. He believed in simple living & high thinking and carry out the charitable activities for upliftment of down trodden people, Sindhis who settled in India in various rehabitation camps as refugees. Late Shri Parsram Parumal Dabrai started NEW ERA HIGH SCHOOL in 1957 and school became fully recognized school. Started living in Barrack Camp coming from Pakistan and Known for his service individuals started calling him as BABAJI.
Keeping in view the future of ladies who were illiterate he opened Ladies Tailoring Classes popularly called 'Nari Shala' and he started the same on the ground floor of his own building named “Parvati Niwas” at Wadala Mumbai where thousands of ladies attended these classes and made their living & future bright. These classes were opened to all communities irrespective of caste, color & creed and it was a free training in tailoring & subsequently the ladies were awarded certificates in 'Government Tailoring Diploma' & it became the source of their livelihood. Its primary objective was to assist the ladies economically and thereby support their families. He distributed the sewing machines free of charge to economically backward ladies. Today Seva Sadan also operates Fashion Design & Interior course for creating Entrepreneur and Self-employment.
New Era High School was the First Building in Ulhasnagar that had the RCC structure with fully equipped facilities like Drama Hall and Sound System. During Mid 60’s Babaji released that there is not a single college in Ulhasnagar & Specially for girl’s students. To seek admissions in colleges one had to travel from Ulhasnagar to Bandra & Churchgate. This was inconvience to Girl students and to solve this problem, he open Girls College named New Era College which subsequently it is now called Ramchand Kimatram Talreja college of Arts, Science & Commerce and contributions towards education growth was his own & subsequently to make it financially sound the donation was offered by Seth Jhamnadas Talreja cousin brother of Ramchand Talreja. Shri Jhamnadas Talreja was business associate of Late Baba Parsram Parumal & accordingly college is known as Ramchand Kimatram Talreja College of Arts, Science & Commerce which today is home of education for 9000 plus students.
Late Baba Parsram Parumal Dabrai realized the importance of Training the teachers to be appointed in various school & colleges and to achieve this object he started Seva Sadan College of Education, Near Central Hospital, Ulhasnagar-421003 where thousands of teachers have been trained in D.ED TO PhD Degree education. Seva Sadan College of Education is honored with NAAC A accredited by University of Mumbai and also honored with best college of Mumbai. Today Seva Sadan operates from Pre-Primary to Post Graduation with more than 500 staff with team of Teachers, Faculties, PhD Guides, Accountant, Volunteers towards the object of Trust. The seeds laid today are being able to serve more than 14000 students.
